GOOD LIBATIONS (Comedy/Fantasy)

The serene scene of a seagull gliding gracefully over Lake Ontario—and then smashing into the office window of the man who has it all. JONATHON O'DONNELL's a film producer with a great apartment, gorgeous secretary and a high-end mode of transportation. Then he goes home to surprise his young wife, on their anniversary, and finds her in bed with the plumber. After that, Jonathon's dad calls and leaves a message on the machine that Jonathon's mother has died and that the funeral will be "…on Monday so it shouldn't spoil your (Jonathon's) weekend."

Jonathon goes home for his Mother's funeral and is informed by his father that he's a disappointment to both him and was to his mother as well. On his way back to the city Jonathon sees a sign that points to Anywhere Else. Upon the sign sits a seagull who seems to be coaxing Jonathon in that direction. But when you take directions from a seagull, strange things are bound to happen.

Jonathon ends up on Middle Street in the hamlet of Nowhere at Good Libations, a pub—or at least that's how it first appears. It's talent night and some of the talent is, to say the least, divine. As the entire bar breaks out in a musical number, Jonathon tries to escape (he hates musicals) but one of the locals, ANGELA, pulls him into a production that's complete with little people and acrobats.

Jonathon awakens the next morning to find the pub has turned into a diner and someone has stolen his SUV. He's forced to go to work for ELMER, who's Angela's father, but after Angela stitches Jonathon's foot, he goes back to the diner where JUDE, a one-armed lumberjack, almost kills him! Then he talks to EDWARD who's building a replica of the Titanic out of cork so that it'll bounce off icebergs—obviously. Trying to hitchhike home, Jonathon sees the world from a hilltop, finds SVEN teaching beavers to play bongos, goes through archways that aren't there only to come out at places that weren't on the other side. He finds himself falling for Angela, even though she's quite annoying, starts to think that ART is really God (but Jonathon doesn't believe in God) and the whole time he's being led around by a seagull. Confused? Just think how Jonathon feels.

Good Libations is a story about leaving the beaten track in order to find your own path, while gaining the courage to follow it.
