Here's what people have been saying about 'Just J':
July 12, 2007 - Dinah Gough, Manager, Children's and Youth Services, Oshawa Public Libraries
""...what sounded like a squirrel being ironed..." is worth the price of the book all by itself and that's just the beginning. J herself is a marvellous creation: wry, fierce, and loving by turns. Teen librarians should read this book and share it with teens in their libraries."
Voya - April 1, 2007
"The novel has some great dialogue and descriptions...middle school girls will enjoy the short chapters, continuous wordplay and happy endings."
Globe and Mail - March 31, 2007
"Frizzell's prose is engaging and well crafted. A reader can’t help but connect with J; she's witty and engaging, despite her hurt and rebellion."
Kliatt - March 1, 2007
"J is a force to be reckoned with...girls will enjoy [her] spunky personality and her unwillingness to give in to the emotions that rip through her."
CM Magazine - March 1, 2007
"unique in voice and setting, and there is an unabashed emotional truth to J that resonates throughout and keeps one turning the pages. Recommended."
School Library Journal - March 1, 2007
"The teen's (J's) engaging voice is full of sarcasm, dry wit and angst while her aunt's voice is ethereal and soothing."
